On November the 2nd we were going to the Manaiakalani Film Festival. When it was 10:00 am, we had our lunch early because the film would be an hour and a half long and so that we wouldn’t starve.  When our lunch was done the bus was here. Mrs.George had told the classes to line up on the court and we were all budded up with a buddy from Rm2, and Rm1.

 

 I was buddying up with Paul, we started to go on the bus, when we got to our destination i did not know that we were going to Sylvia park theatres. We saw different schools there. people were staring at us confused that we should be at school,it was so crowded there and it was hard to move.when the teachers finished checking that everyone was off the bus we had crossed the road, and we walked by other schools that were looking at us.

 

When we got into the theatre we were so excited, there wasn’t that much room so some students got extra lucky and got to go on the couches at the very top,but I was grateful for my seat, I didn’t know the schools that were there.  There were quite a few of films there,when it was our turn to show our film we were all excited for it especially our class, there were about 3 films from saint pats

 

 Conclusion :After it was all done we all lined up to get ready to go, and when we went back there were heaps of schools and it was extremely crowded and we could not cross because of the wait of the other schools.when we got on the bus there was a 5 min delay because of all the traffic. When I got moving everyone was talking about how fun it was to watch the films. It was cool to go and watch the films and it was a fun experience.

This weeks writing has been about, Is AI Good/Bad? AI stands for, artificial intelligence witch means it can do things on it’s own, me and my group have been talking about how AI can be used for everything, here are the 4 things we are doing,video games, because of all the things you can do to it using AI, Google lens take a picture if you do not know what that is,internet bookings so booking a vacation, but end up getting scammed from a user,and self driving cars AI can control your car with just a click of a button like the Tesla.

 

Why The Stone Cottage Is Important To Our Community?

 

Intro: The Stone Cottage has been around for about 175 years(since 1848)and still standing.

 

Par: The Stone Cottage is important because it is one of the last things in Panmure besides the hotel which was built in 1881. The Stone Cottage is a little modern house that has been around since the 1800s, inside the house there are alot of old things, such as old brushes,old beds,clothes, and old books probably made right before the Stone Cottage was made, i would have never known that back then they did their business in a bowl, that’s disgusting, but that’s how it was back then.

 

Par 2: When we went inside we had been told that the clothing back then were so not like our clothing but different(like this)

They had  long dresses, corsets and hats. Fashion was based on styles from London and Paris. From the 1850s home sewing was a way to not spend money, and was also a primary thing for women. 

 

conclusion:Although the Stone Cottage IS very important because it can remind the future generations on how we used to live back then.

Ping/The Slave Girl –

The Slave Girl was shocked at this accident; even though she knew that it was her fault the Dragon died. She had become sad not only because the Dragon died, but because it was her fault the Dragon died.

When master Lan heard about the news he became happy and had an idea, an idea that would anger and sadden the Slave Girl,it was to slice up the dragon and sell the organs for a lot of money. He did not like the dragons because of how he was so scared of what would happen, if he had been eaten by the big large creatures.

Lao ma –

Lao Ma did care thing about dragons, cause all she did was clean and make sure that master Lans place was tidy, but she did wonder why ,aster Lan did not clean the basement of the dragons and why not to sell them,but after all i bet Master Lan kept them their for entertainment, like for hurting them and weakening them until almost unconscious.

Long Danzi/Dragon 2 –

When the first and second dragon first met they were a bit nervous because they have not seen another one of their kind before, and that they were about to be best friends for the rest of their lives.After centuries they were getting weaker and weaker, as they were getting older they went to sleep as always and… 

When they woke up, well just one the second dragon tried to wake up the other dragon but nothing happened, that’s when the dragon noticed that it was finally time, and that time was up, the dragon started to morn.

Wednesday 30th August 2023

 

On Tuesday the 29th,  we had a rippa tournament, and for the past five weeks we have been preparing for it. But little did we know we would come 2nd.

 It started when we had a meeting so we could gather all the teams, we had talked about who the teams were, and where we would play.after the meeting we had walked all the way to the field down kings road where i live, once we had gotten to the field there was a lot of people, i had started to get nervous for like five minutes.after we had set up camp we had started to warm up cause it was really cold and slippery.after we were done, Mr Bell told us to go watch the year 3 and 4, Glen Taylor and Stone Field, so we could get some ideas about what we are doing.

While we were watching  we had got some good news, we were about to verse, G.I. (Glen Innes) their team looked intimidating, but i just shook it off and played. During the game I was so fired up because we were the ones winning. Once the ref blew the whistle it was, 4 – 2, we had won,we were all jumping in excitement that we won.When the game finished we went back to camp and waited until the next game.

When Mr Bell told us that we’re on (there is a game) we headed to the field to see Glen Brae. I was so excited to play them. They seemed very serious, we had won the game by three points, and again we were jumping in excitement, I did not jump in excitement only because we had to stay humble. After we had finished  having a break our next game was different, because we went up against  our other team.we were starting to get a bit tired during the game, but we still stayed focused throughout the game.we had just won by two(5 – 3) we were so happy that we were about to go to the finals, but there was still one more team and that was stone field.

Once we had won the match against Glen Brae, we were tired. We had taken a long rest, well only 10 minutes because our match would start then. When it was time we headed over to the field only to notice that the field looked hard,as soon as i set foot on the field  my feet started to get sore.during the match i had scored 2 tries, i was so happy, but exhausted i quickly subbed off to catch my breath. We had won, because of my two tries, it was, 6 – 4 we had finally made it to the finals.

 We had taken a break , we were all super tired, I had started to get dehydrated but I still had to push through. When it was time we went to the field to meet the 3rd  team of Glen Brae, they looked scary, especially this one dude, who looked like he was in college.when the ref blew the whistle to start the game  we were so close to the try line, but we ended up losing the ball.during the game we had managed to get a few tries, but we were still struggling to keep up,it was the last play and they intercept and Glen Brae scored the whistle blowed and that was it, we had lost to the best team there.we all were drained of energy, and went back to camp in disappointment, one of the boys went and got KFC and shared for 2nd place, i had watched as Glen Brae had started to celebrate, with joy, but i was very proud of myself,at  least i had gotten a try.we had went back to st pats proud. church strand

Me and my class did church strand for RE,the church strand is about the life of the early church and what dose mission mean.we have been doing church strand for the half of term 3, it has been fun doing church strand and doing the early church. the early church was basically the first  ever charity, the early church was different, they didn’t just do money but they would sell their entire house and all there belongings to the needy and the poor, but they did not care because they believed in jesus.

This was the very first time I had ever swim at saint Patricks, and for the past two weeks I had been improving in my swimming and that I had learnt how to float and not touch the floor. when I had first looked at the pool I had thought that it was very deep cause I have never swam in the deep deep area before, because I am used to touching the ground when I reach the end.our instructor, Li Shao was an amazing instructor and he had helped me the most of the way, we had been taught all the basic training for swimming, I had found it hard and easy, but I had still persevered through.we had done freestyle, backstroke, sidestroke, and we had some races.but my favourite part of it all was to jump off the side during the last five minute.
